Default External ATF Filter I think?

I have a leak in what I think is an external ATF filter. I think thats what it is. Facing the grill it is on the left hand side of the radiator. It's about 4-5 inches in height and red. It has a hose coming out of the rad. into the top of it and another leading to the tranny. I don't know what its called to fix it or locate another. please help. Let me know if you need a picture of it and i'll post one. Thanks Jed

It's probably a transmission cooler. You do have an automatic tranny, right.

A picture speaks a thousand words......

Yup it's an auto. I looked for trans coolers on NAPA, Kragen, Auto Zone, etc., but to no avail. I'll post some pics this weekend.

Take measurements of the physical size and go to your local Auto parts store and tell them the size you have then buy one, I recomend a plate and fin design they tend to cool better...but cost a little more...some even have a temperature bypass for quicker tranny warmup...
