Default heavy gas pedal

Hey, the gas pedal on my 1980 K5 feels really heavy (or tight).
You have to push really hard to accellerate. Since i can't pick up the car until the 27st of this month i can't take a look at it.
Could it be a spring issue?? Are there more options for the problem??

Thanks

Chris

Sounds like someone has put too strong of a spring on the carb linkage. Be careful though, this could have been done because of a sticking carb. You'll want to check things out thoroughly to make sure that the throttle doesn't hang wide open on you and cause GM to be in the same boat as Toyota (jokingly of course)!!

My k30 is the same way due to above reason. I have 2 springs on it. With only one it idles at like 1400. Spray everything that moves with lube and check out your spring situation
