Default Parking break light

I have a 1990 GMC Jimmy 5.7l with 144,000 miles. Today i started the vehicle and the parking break light with the (P)(!) on all the time. i was wondering what could be the problem. i read the other post that have been posted and none have the same problem.

I was wondering if anybody has an idea where i should start looking.

Thanks.

The main reason the brake warning light will come on in an 89-91 K5 is due to unequal pressure in the brake lines, or the ABS computer is malfunctioning. I bet your rear wheel cylinders need to be replaced. If the fluid in the master cylinder is full, then unplug the two connections on the back of the ABS module (the black box next to the master cylinder). Turn the ignition to the "on" position for about 5 seconds. Then shut off the key, reconnect those two plugs on the back of the ABS module and turn the key on again. Is the brake light still on?
