removeing door stripping

Default removeing door stripping

i would like to remove the rubber door stripping. i dont like it. ive heard alot of ways to do it but on alot of differant vehicles so i would like to know the best way to remove it on my truck.

The best way that I know of is to use a body shop eraser on the end of a drill. Just don't use to much pressure or to much speed or you will burn through the clear coat.
You can buy body shop erasers at most parts stores.

I just re-read your post, I thought it was the pin striping you were talking about, but it's actually the body side mouldings if they're rubber.
You should be able to get an edge loose with a knife blade and then just pull it off. After that you still need to clean up the adhesive the same way I just described with the body shop eraser

I did that to my 92 S10. I just pulled off the molding, and then I used PB Blaster and alot of elbow grease to get the adhesive off. It worked well and it was cheap. Korey.

my smoulding has chrome stripping is that going to be an issue?

No, you got the same thing I do. I am planning on doing it to mine when it gets warm.
