Default 4WD qestion n ZR2

Is there ant difference between a ZR2s 4WD system and a regular Blazer 4WD other tan than factory lift and tire size?

G80's and 3.73's came stock on ZR2's, but were an option on regular blazer's too. Other than that no.

I did a search and there is quite a few things different. The frames are wider, stronger, and all of the suspension parts such as bearings and ball joints were heavy duty. I noticed when buying replacement suspension parts that they were more expensive. They were actually made for off road use according to one of the engineers of the vehicle. The option ran about $1900.

Well yeah there are lots of thing different between a ZR2 and normal blazer. And those are all well documented and can be easily found all over the place.

Ball joints and front wheel bearings are the same, rear axle bearings are bigger but only because ZR2's came with the 8.5" axle standard. Some non ZR2's came with that axle as well so they have the bigger bearings too. Spring rates are stiffer on ZR2's. The frame is only wider where the control arms mount.

But you asked about the 4wd system, I took that as meaning the transfer case and axle options.

Default 4wd help please!

Was working on my 1993 S10 Blazer for the last month or so and I finally got it all back together and drove it around tried the 4wd and would go perfectly fine into 4 hi but when I put the truck into neutral and try to shift into 4 low it just flashes for 30 seconds and goes into 4 hi, I have tried to do what the manual says by putting the transmission in neutral pushing the 4 low switch and then shifting into park but it just still flashes for 30 seconds and then goes into 4 hi. I haven't used the 4 low sense about last winter just the 4 hi. (work done to 4wd in the last 3 years encoder motor, actuator, front hubs, interior 4wd switch, both sensors on the transfer case and the front diff. thanks in advance for any help.
