Default 97 interior questions

Ok so I have noticed from different online parts stores that my 97 LS has a different dash that what they offer OEM parts for. Like my headlight switch, 4wd switch, gauges, etc are different. According to online, the dash looks like its from the 98+ Blazer. Did Chevy update the dashes in 97 sometime? Or was mine changed out? Mine even has steering wheel controls for the radio!! Everything works like normal except my headlight switch is weird. It has the auto on headlights but if you press the dome over-ride button several times to shut them off, they dont. I dont know if its the switch or what. Heres a couple of pics of what my dash looks like.

But did Chevy update it or was this something that someone else did? I know that the truck has been on fire at one time. They said the computer on the engine lit up but they replaced everything. Everything but the hood and fenders which arent that bad. I dont know tho.

I went out last night and looked at the sticker on my door. It says the build date is 02/97

Someone switched it out. You can tell by the color of the dash and your door panels...they are different. Also, 98+ was the first year for that dash.

Well, that would make sence. Cause I couldnt find anything online for the 97 with the 6 speaker set up like mine. And the auto headlights work except for the deal where you press the dome override button a few times to shut them off. And the sticker on the glove box has a different VIN number. Ugh. So that means that my Blazer is a mess. Thanks for the info!

I can tell from the pictures it's a mess . Clean that thing up! Ha.

FWIW, mine has a 6 speaker setup. Unhooked the "tweeters" when I installed new speakers though. They sounded like crap.

Haha I plan on cleaning it up tomorrow. Just been waiting on time and good weather and money But anyways, i went today to a body shop to have the door looked at, and he said that the dash is from a 99 Blazer. Hmmm. Makes me wonder why its been replaced.
