97 s10 with 4l60 shifting problem
My s10 is not wanting to shift right, when I put it into D it shift just fine for the first 5 minutes of being drove but then when you stop it stays in 3rd and doesn’t downshift, but yet it was doing it just fine before, but If you take it outta D and put it in N then back into D you can feel it just shift all the was back up to 3rd then if you try to put it down in 2nd itll go there but if you put it in 1st it won’t go into 1st then, but let’s say you’re still going and it needs to shift up into 4th it won’t shift to 4th, so far I’ve checked the main fuses, dropped the tranny pan, and the fluid was just dirty not burnt or anything, and replaced the 4 different solenoids (1-2, 3-4, 3-2, and the shift module one), and new fluid new filter and it’s still doing the same thing, any suggestions on what might be wrong?
Also it’s throwing these codes( torque converter clutch solenoid circuit P0740, shift solenoids A electrical P0753, shift solenoids B electrical P0758, shift timing solenoid A P0785

check your Transmission harness plug ontop of the transmission Valvebody and oilpan boss, its on the passenger side behind the 2-4 Apply Servo, put a camera with flash overtop of it and take a picture, if the connector has ATF in it then you will need to replace the Transmission wiring harness, which can be done with the tranny in the vehicle without much effort, just a new filter and pan gasket + 7qts or more of DEXTRON VI Rated ATF, as DEXTRON III is no longer produced. Also inspect the Vehicle harness for the transmission up to where it meets the Passenger side engine harness for chafing, exposed or butchered wires, etc.

What specifically is not working, after re-reading the OP it seems like you have a common circuit issue, as every control device in the transmission is listed as faulting. Make sure you have good grounds, and inspect the wiring harness and connector coming up from the transmission up into the passenger side engine harness, it should kick off to the left behind the engine, some wires go to and from the fuse box, others to the PCM. unfortunately i do not have a schematic for a 1997. Also is your truck OBD II or OBD I / 1.5
