Default Advices for buying a used Blazer (98-02)?

I was looking to buy a used Blazer between 98 and 02, for around 4000$. This will be my third car at home and it'll be used mostly as a winter ride. I already owned two Blazer in the past, a 1990 2dr (2WD) and a 1997 4dr LT (4WD), both with the 4.3L V6. I found theses truck mostly reliable especially my 1990 who last for 350,000 KM all on original engine and transmission, except some electrical issues, until I crash it! Concerning my 1997, I sold it at 180,000 KM when it began to have some transmission/transfer case issues, but I bought my 1997 as a rebuilded SALVAGED truck.

I just want to know where I have to look at first when buying a used Blazer between 1998 and 2002? What are the common issues?

I have some basic knowns in mechanics and I do most of my maintenance/repair by myself except I'm not very familliar with 4x4 drivetrains...

Thank you very much, your help is very appreciated!
