Airtex fuel pumps. My horrible experience.Maybe it'll save you..
Alright. Maybe this is more of a rant. or Maybe save you some hassle.
Back in Oct of 2010 I purchased a 1991 s10 blazer with the 4.3 tbi vin Z. It needed a fuel pump. Well i Purchased a Airtex for $44.99 thinking hey maybe this will be a cheap fix after all. I got home, dropped the tank, removed a ac delco after 200k+ miles and replaced the pump and wiring harness etc. Truck started up and ran great. Drove it around the block and parked it. Next day i head to work and the truck died. Wouldn't start and had NO fuel coming out of the injectors at all. I kicked the bottom of the gas tank and it started up for long enough to get me 5 minutes back home. I dropped the tank, checked grounds, wiring etc. and it was good but the pump wouldn't even prime up when i turned the key. So i went back to the store and had a replacement done. Swapped out the pumps and relay, started up fine and drove the truck a hour to make sure i wouldn't have any problems and it drove great. 5 weeks later it happened again, except this time kicking the tank didnt work,so $50 tow bill, another few hours i finnaly said forget it and forked out the 110.00 for a ac delco at the stealership. Its Sunday the Feb. 27th of 2011 and ive had no problems since..
Please save yourself the hell and buy OEM fuel pumps...These cheap ones are a hit n miss. My buddy got me to buy the 1st one since he put one in his 96 and has been fine for 2 years. Well not for me..

Sorry to hear about the trouble you had, but if members would simply do a tiny bit of research here prior to replacing a fuel pump things like this would not happen. We caution over and over about using only AC/Delco or Delphi pumps yet folks will buy a 'cheap' aftermarket brand either due to price or a lifetime warranty and wind up gaining lots of experience in dropping and reinstalling Blazer fuel tanks.
