I've had both 1st & 2nd gen T body vehicles. As far as I'm concerned, 2nd gen has far better engineering, better performance, easier to work on, looks better, handles better, quieter, easier diagnostics, paint doesn' t oxidize, seats are far more comfortable, and the list goes on

Vin W first gens with the vortec make more HP and torgue than any other blazer/jimmy/bravada besides the typhoon.

My wife calls second gens "big cars" because of the slopey hood. Really though, I like them all. The first gens have that square jawed tuff guy appearance and the second gens have that more refined "let's get a cup of tea and some scones" look to them. It's ok. My blazer is still bone stock, so there are plenty of second gens out there on this site that look more manly than mine does... For now Mua hahahahaha (that's supposed to be a sinister laugh).
