Wait, your truck is 2wd, right?

Mine is 4wd and has the 2000 LS bumper that I ripped the plastic valance off of.

I realize this may not help, but at least it shows one possible mounting setup. I did get longer Grade 8 hardware since my tow hook bolts were not long enough.

The mounting spots you posted look like they're at a 45 degree upward angle, unless I'm not looking at it correctly.

hmm... It looks like the mounting brackets are angled on Matt's guard, but it might just be the way it's sitting on the ground. Yeah, it might not work, unfortunately. Well, you could always fabricate a mounting point.

Rather than starting a new thread I thought I would ask in this one. I am looking for a brush guard for my 96 Blazer 4x4. It seams that everyone I find on line is for the 98 to 05 Blazer nothing for the 95 to 97 Blazer. Does anyone have a brush guard on their 95 to 97 Blazer? If so what brand? Part number? Thanks

I've got a brush guard on my 96 Jimmy and it's supposed to be for 98+ trucks and it works just fine. The only problem I had was the support brackets that attach underneath the grille. I just had to add a few washers to make it work right. I don't know the part number, however, I do know that it's a GM brush guard that you could order as an accessory on the 98+ trucks.

Thanks Red96 I will check with my Chevy dealer and see if they still show one available.
Matt92 no the 4.3L just does not have enough power. However my 02 2500HD with an 8.1L sure does.
