Lol i didnt know that for the longest time either. And also... i THINK if you have both your front doors open say for music and the tail gate open i believe turning that switch off will turn all your dome lights off. so you dont drain your battery. Im not sure if thats true but i remember one time when i had my doors open and tail gate down for music my lights went off. and after that i could never get it to do it again. So i dunno, that may be how that works

I don't think it works like that, at least not on mine. The switch on mine will turn the dome lights on in the front of the blazer if you turn it on when you have the doors closed, but not the other way around.

Yeah im not sure how i got it to do that then lol. Maybe it wasnt supposed to happen?

It won't override the door switch or switch on the dash. I unhooked my switch back there cause I would bump it with my head turning it on all the time. Easily noticed at night but after leaving it on all day and having a dead battery it was more of a pita.

Ha. It took me almost a year before I discovered the rear dome light switch too.

I discovered mine by accident unloading groceries. It was in a one car garage and I discovered it the next morning with a dead battery and since you can't even get them out of gear without power, had to take battery out of my truck and jump it off in the garage. Have always been very careful since then to make sure I don't bump it again.
