Default I discovered this plug under the hood.

I think it might be cruise control. Any thoughts

Is it coming out of the wire bundle wrap just behind it? There's nothing like that in that area on mine and I have cruise control.

It comes out of the plastic harness

I can't be 100% sure from that picture, but that does resemble a capped off cruise control module connector. If your truck doesn't have cruise I'd bet that's what it is.
