Dunno If It's a Waste of Time Or Not...
We have an old 1993 GMC Jimmy 2x4 with the 4.3 Vortech just sitting in the yard gathering dust. I've been thinking a lot lately about fixing it up, making it look pretty nice just for kicks and giggles. It would be nice since no one drives it, I wouldn't have to deal with trying to elminate any and all down time. I just can't decide if I should even think about it though. Anybody have some pics of one of these generations done up nice? Either lowered or lifted? I'm undecided as far as that right now. Also, how big is the aftermarket on these things? Is there a large market for engine mods?
Thanks in advance.
Also, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. I hardly ever venture away from my mustang forums..

Depends on your definition of "waste of time".
If this truck is virtually rust free, runs decent, drives decent, then you have almost unlimited possibilities. Do a google(image) search of your particular model. (I already have and had seen some nice ones lowered and raised)
The 4.3 is a popular engine. Many add ons are available in the market.
If no one drives it, it can become a nice project truck. No worries about taking it off the road for major mods is a BONUS.
Do what you can afford. If major modding isn't in the finances, then I wouldn't bother. Sell it to someone that could use it, IMHO.
