Default engine and trans swap

i have a(96) s10 blazer with a blown engine. it has a auto trans. i found a good deal on an (02 )engine with a bonus standard five speed which i would like to use. i know that i will have a lot of work ahead of me to install all related parts and such and i am up for that. but what i don't know is. is the wiring harnesses in my (96) blazer going to support the standard trans. are the wiring harnesses specific to auto trans or standard ?

I accually want to hear this myself I have always wanted to put a 5 speed in my blazer but I never got around to looking it up. I will say one thing though be warry on that engine. where it is from an 02 it might be really different. I know that when they changed the look of the blazers in 98 they changed alot more then just that. I would check with a gm dealership to see if the engine is gonna work or not. I know its pry the same engine but they could change alot of stuff. like they changed the brake booster in 98. but what was i suppose to think pulling a brake booster off a 98 blazer for a 96 what can be different right? the rod that pushed the master cylinder was 1/4" to long and thats all it took to engage the brakes on my blazer
