Default Getting another vehicle advice wanted

ok, well ive come to the conclusion that sinking any more money into my s10 blazer is a lost cause. As of right now i need piston rings, valve seals "have to add oil almost every day", the 4wd doesnt work, the cruse control doesnt work, i need a new tailgate, the breaks are funky and the ABS doesnt work and the gas tank is leaking.

I have decided to drive this thing till it no longer moves, "fixing the leak in the gas tank" and i have decided to look for a 95-99 Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon, 2 door 4x4. I was just wondering what would be some areas to look for in these vehicles? I have no experience in these whats-so-ever and would like some input.

Thank you in advanced
Drifter

If it were me, I would do the exact same thing. My next truck will be full size for sure. Besides the Blazer, I have a Cadillac Escalade ESV that I love. The difference between the Blazer and Esky are like night & day. I realize that it is a Caddy, but it is really a glorified Avalanche in a tuxedo. My 6 liter, 345hp, aluminum Chevy small block makes loads of power and still gets better mileage than the Blazer, and the Esky is just shy of 6000 lbs! I say go for it!

gas mileage has never really been something i look at. I know that they came with a 350 small block and im sure it will get the same if not better mileage that my s10 "i swear i can see the gas gauge move if i floor it" and as to your response about your Esky all i can really say is "dude its a caddy" that's like comparing apples to grapes, they will never be the same.

My reason for choosing this vehicle is I had a set standard for what i am looking for and I will not stray from that. I want a 4x4 with mechanical linkage transfer case "floor shifter", I want something i can just transplant my current audio setup into "speakers along with my head unit and subs", I want a lot of cargo room because I carry alot of stuff with me "tool box, recovery kit, blanket, change of clothes, small air compressor, 4 way lug wrench and floor jack, and more", and i need it to seat at least 4.

I really want a jeep cuz i LOVE the idea of the top and doors coming off but my subs would never fit and with my dvd touch screen i know it would get swiped when the doors and top were off. I also really want a K5 but finding one in good shape in New England is tough enough, but finding one in good shape for cheap is pretty much an impossibility. So thats what brought me to my choice of the tahoe witch was called the blazer from 92-96 or the yukon because 1. It suits my needs and 2. I love the lines of the body. I already know what I am going to do to it, I am going to paint it black, put a 3 or 4 inch lift on it and I havent decided on wheels yet i was thinking of doing the same thing someone on here has on their K5 "black rally rims with chrome center and trim ring" or maybe a polished aluminum wheel.
