helper springs would probably be a good investment. other than that you shouldn't have a problem pulling that

You should be fine. Ive pulled a 14' enclosed trailer numerous times packed with atv's and dirtbikes weighing over 3k lbs. You'll definitely know the trailer is back there when trying to stop though!! Just make sure you give yourself enough room to stop

you probably will be fine, but the trans cooler is just cheap extra insurance though. i have a 16 foot car hauler i pull with mine and have no problens with it but i'm gonna put a cooler on it though.

3K is really not that much behind your truck, but definately put in a trans cooler-and there is no such thing as too big.

one big question-does your 12 footer have brakes on it?

if not, make sure your truck has the best brakes on it, 'cause you're gonna be stopping two trucks other wise (with the extra weight).

and it wouldn't be a bad idea to do a trans service (or at least an inspection) before your big trip.

just don't be too surprised by the frequent fuel stops.

not trying to hijack but it is on subject, so if you have a stock factory tow pkg. do you have a tranny cooler on it? and you should be fine pulling that. i've pulled a lawnmowing business trailer loaded with lawnmowers and equipment mostly every summer every week and i've not had problems. i do notice it pulls a heck of alot better if you put it in 3rd. this also would prevent your tranny from overheating because you would stay out of overdrive. it'll hurt your gas milage but help your tranny,
