Default Heater Core Repair, how much $$

96 blazer LT, so I noticed a sweet smell when driving home and the passenger side carpet is wet with antifreeze.I can hear the core sloshing around when driving and the windshield is fogging up.Don't have the time to take the dash off and attempt the repair myself.Anybody have and idea of what I can expect to pay an honest radiator repair shop to do this.I know a new core should run around 45-60 bucks. Thanks all

IF you would wanna do it yourself, Buy a haynes manual and use that as a guide... while your at auto zone pick up the heater core and two new heater hoses upper and lower its all gonna be around 110-120 excluding tax, i have a leak in mine and i think that im gonna have to be doing this sometime soon as well, just gonna find the day that its not crappy out and money as well. lol.

No need to buy a manual

most of the information is on the forum
the dash needs to be removed to get to the heater core
a shop will charge at least over 400 bucks to do this task

do a search on the forum there are many DIY posts on here
