I bought a 2003 Blazer (green, 2WD, 2 door, 4.3L with under 40K) back in '05 that was like brand new, newest vehicle I have ever owned. Other than oil changes, brakes, tires, etc the only problem I ever had with it was the fuel pump went out and the spider injector assembly I replaced. Drove it over 200K until someone pulled out in front of me and totaled it. I really hated to loose that one, and still wish I had it back. With the insurance money I bought an '02 that had over 100K (4 door, 2wd same 4.3L) and still have it today. It was a lot rougher shape when I got it than my 03 was right before the wreck. I keep dreaming of fixing it up but life keeps me to busy. The power windows don't work great, the drivers inside door panel needs replacing, the a/c fan motor fluctuates when you get on or off the throttle (this puzzles the heck out of me), and the body and interior is rough but I think it could all be fixed but is it worth the time and money? I replaced the rear axles this year, new alternator few weeks back and now I think I have a bad fuel pump. What's next? But I still like this Blazer it pulls our vintage camper all over for lots of adventures.

This is what I always conclude to.

Believe you me, I've spent enough on it to buy a slightly newer car....but then I wouldn't have a Blazer.

Default How long owned and repairs

I just bought the 1999 LS 4DR. 4x4 with 138,000km. original owner with all records (bonus).
replacing- brakes, all fluids, filters, plugs, wires, inner wheel wells front, larger rims/tires.
Changed all lights to LED. already.
Radio not working worth a damn, like a ground wire is off. New unit Pioneer, I guess.
Lift or leveling kit? Maybe airbags.
Cheers, KW

Pioneers are good units. Always had good luck with them. You probably already know this, but the factory radio is a rather odd duck 1.5-DIN unit, so be sure the Pioneer you're considering is a 1.5-DIN or use a single-DIN with an adapter unless you're willing to cut up your dash. I put a single-DIN Sony MEX-GS820BT in our Jimmy to get the high power built-in amp, and we've been very happy with it - Bluetooth phone connectivity, MP3 playback, etc. I used a nice 1.5-DIN adapter with a little storage bin to fit the dash - the bin isn't big enough to hold a disc, but is great for receipts and such.

Display color adjusted to match odometer

Wheel with audio controls added as part of project

I have bled at least one unit of blood in that motor... not to mention "involuntary skin grafts" over the years...does that count?

Would just like to quickly clarify if we are including prices of items replaced/services done, or just listing the items done and work done sans prices.
