Update on my mileage: Bought new 18 years ago this very day with 7 miles on the odometer. I now have 283,XXX miles on it. I have plans for a 5.3 from a 99 Silverado going into it as soon as the funds come available. It has been a good motor but I need more power when towing. Better mpg's would be nice, too.

My 1999 Chevy Blazer LS 2dr 2wd just hit 400,000 miles... is running strong... expect to hit at least 500,000!

best thing done recently was replace the fuel pressure regulator ... a $58 part located on the fuel injection spider beneath the throttle body... almost a miracle improvement in increased starting and over all performance.

Thank you! ... Mostly freeway miles... my daily driver... garage kept... maintenance spreadsheet tracking... Cost $17,000 used in July of 2000 from Enterprise Rent-A-Car with 37k on it. Spreadsheet shows over $22k spent on tires/maintenance/repairs... works out to $0.059 ... 5.9-cents per mile ... drive a thousand miles and throw sixty-bucks into the maintenance jar. ...and just sitting in the garage, it is averaging about 2.5 miles per hour when you consider total miles VS age of vehicle.!

2000, bought with 30k miles on it.. about 215k now. It was my daily driver from 2003 until a few years ago. Now I drive it a few times a week to keep things lubed up and its on a battery conditioner when not running. Only things I've had done to it were head gasket twice, first time it wasn't done right. tires and oil of course, new radiator after hitting a truck, their fault.. my expense. sigh.

Otherwise other then a little body damage and needing new 02 Sensors (just got a code) and fixing the parking brake, it solid. Love that truck.
