just hit 200,000 miles in mine tonite. I just bought it 3 months ago with 194,000 miles on it. The guy said he changed the transmission recently. But other than the remote oil filter line leaking oil everywhere.... it's "Like a Rock" but with alot of rattles and squeeks.

X2!

wouldn't it be better to park it for a bit, then to try & start all over again, later down the road?

240,000 on my '95 Blazer 4x4. Everything original. Normal quirks but still strong.

227,000km on my 1997. Bought it in 2003.
Had some engine problems around 185k and had to have the top end rebuilt.
Other than that its been a good little truck.

if it were 4x4 i would keep it as the secondary toy but its 2wd so there really isn't any point to keeping it

sure there is...........it's a 2WD truck!

don't know what it's like around Detroit, Mack, but a 2WD 2nd gen (2 door or 4 door) is a pretty rare find around here.

but i can understand your situation. i would've luvd to replace my Jetta when it broke the engine, but unfortunately, i bought the hard to find diesel. so no (cheap) replacement was available.

but that's ok, i'd rather drive my Blazer every day, then get rid of it to have another diesel Jetta.

but that's just me.
