Talking Just Got my blazer

Hi, Im new to the forum. I just got my blazer today. Its a 1987 s-10 2 door auto. The odometer has 220,000 but it doesn't work anymore. The guy i bought it from said the v.6 was rebuilt 2 years ago. Runs real good and smooth, just has a small oil leak from the oil pressure switch. needs some cosmetic work. Will get some pics soon. What engine sizes came in the 87s? on autozone it said a 2.8? i thought it was a 4.3. some help here. Thanks

The 4.3 wasn't introduced till 88 or 89. The 87 only had a 2.8, which I always thought was a bit underpowered.

Ok cool thanks. Is the oil pressure switch very hard to change out? Also my speedometer and odometer do not work. Guy said when took engine out to rebuild, they never hooked that back up. Where would I check and connect these? Fuel gauge and battery gauge work, oil pressure gauge I'm not so sure about. When it's idiling it's at 0 he when I rev it a bit, it goes up a little, could the leaky switch have something to do with this? Thanks again
