Default Leaking oil cooler lines

Anyone got a suggestion for the best brand of oil cooler lines for replacement on a 1999 Blazer? About a year ago the line were replaced just prior to me buying the vehicle. They have failed already, but I do not know what brand was used. I understand the GM OME were notorious for leaking due to bad crimping. I am not sure Dorman are any better.

The forum hasn't failed me yet. Let er rip.....

best oil lines - Google search results for Blazerforum.com

Check the 2nd one down as it has some real good information in it.

As far as the best lines, there really isn't any one of the aftermarket suppliers that stand out better than the rest from my experience. They all are better than the OEM lines were some time ago. I haven't heard of anyone using OEM lines in a long time though so they may have gotten better...

My recommendation, fix your current lines with some high quality hose, hose clamps, and a bit of elbow grease. Cut off the factory crimped clamp, remove the original hose, then double clamp each connection. The first link in the Google search results has info on this fix.

*EDIT* - newguy beat me to it.

Hey, some good info here. Seems like buying after-market line is NOT the way to go. L
Think I will try to go the hydraulic line route and redo the connections as suggested. Naturally, I don't want to re-do this job again.

I like the way this Blazer drives & handles, but UGGG, the maintenance on this vehicle is a PIA.
