any year is your choice just gotta find the body style you want 1st gen or 2nd gen and price depends on how it runs, looks, rust all that stuff, just post pics of findings and everyone will put the .02 in

personally, i like the 98 up interior and grille styling better. 96+ updated to the newer OBDII, which can make diagnostics easier. mechanically not a lot changed over the years.
