Default My Blazer has an ouchie

A Nissan decided to make a left turn into my Blazer today. Sigh... Insurance is saying they may total it since it's a 98. My poor brownie

That's what I think. New front clip and side panel (it's dented and pushed in) and maybe hood. Though I think they're gonna go by the fact that it's 14 yrs old with 145K mileage.

Luckily the appraiser is a smarter man than I thought. $3300 in damage. Looks like I'll be in a rental for a few days or so. Very glad, didn't wanna get rid of her. (Or have a car payment)

Glad it wasn't totaled out. Kinda makes me worried about anything ever happening to my blazer...even though it is a '99 with only 96,085 miles or so...but still, it is 13 years old

$3300 IN DAMAGE?!?!?!? The shop would literally have to charge $1000 an hour for it to be that much. If you did it yourself it MAY cost $200 for parts. Thats just crazy..

If it were me, I'd love it if the insurance company totaled it out. Put $400 back into to fix it yourself and keep the rest of the cash. Or take the $3,300....put $400 back into it and take a vacation with the other $2,000!! It's a 14 year old vehicle...you could have had a down payment for a newer model!
