General Chat Chat about all things Blazer (and related vehicles). Off-topic stuff should be in the lounge, and all mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

Hello Everyone,
I subscribed to the forum a couple years ago. I’ve enjoyed the pics, the posts and the banter, which led me to want to get a ZR2 Blazer….I have one now. 👍
However, there are several things that I have to, or want to get done with this awesome vehicle. My problem is, where the heck do I get parts??? LOL

Example - I sprung a leak in the stainless brake line (drivers side part# 15051166), which I couldn’t find anywhere. I called my brother-in-law who owns his own shop and told me it was obsolete and I would have to make it. Not a problem…I can do that.

Then, there are other things I would like to work on, like the interior. I went to General Chat/ Good Sites To Check Out, but I ran into a dead end, because most of these sites don’t exist anymore. If they can be updated it would be extremely helpful for a newbie like me.

Lastly, the builds that I have seen here are amazing! When posting your projects, please include where you got the parts/materials.

‘Thank you all!

Welcome. ZR2s are nice rigs!

As for parts, a lot of us scrounge u-pull wrecking yards. I learned that the one I will go to will list the VINs of the vehicles. This allowed me to focus in on the Blazers with the same interior color as mine. This allowed me to find a replacement rear carpet that was near perfect condition. There is also LMC Truck and of course eBay. Rock Auto will have many parts still.

I recently learned a lot about finding replacement rear leaf springs. What helped was learning of the original GM parts numbers that then allowed me to find who was selling replacements.
