my '01 blazer only had a single seal that gets installed on the transfer case side of things - as i recall it actually seemed to have passages for the trans fluid to get in and out of the area between.

The tricky part is getting ahold of the gasket that goes between the trans and t-case - most if not all repair books say to use RTV, so that's what i did.

yes People use RTV to seal the trannys tail shaft and the Tcase together. The gaskets are hard to get Unless the gm dealer can get them. RTV works just as good
