General Chat Chat about all things Blazer (and related vehicles). Off-topic stuff should be in the lounge, and all mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

OK, I've done it. Booked her in at last!

Picked up my tranny on Friday. Cost $562.50 (that includes the taxmans cut).

These guys only mark these things with the colour of the truck it came out of. Makes me wonder how they recall which year truck it came out of. Anyway, I've got it, paid for it & it will sit till I've got the bucks to have it fitted.

NOW, as I understand things, the valve body & the servo kit can be replaced with the tranny in the truck. (not sure about the shift kit). If this is true, then I plan to swap out the trannies as they are now (when I've got the cash), then import the bits I need & get the valve body from the old tranny replaced. When this is done, I'll drop the oil pan & replace the valve body, servo kit etc. then when that's all working I'll do the same to the old tranny & flog it on TradeMe.
