Default power questions

Hi, i am kinda new the the blazer scene. Im a diesel guy. My brother is leaving for the army so im acquiring his blazer. Now here is what i have done to the bazer: 20,000 miles ago, at 50k, i intalled a fresh 2.8 for him with an ever slightly more aggressive cam. Brand new engine. Now my question is... is there any way to get some easy power. I want to drive this thing on a trip but it just wont maintain speed without hunting gears. Any advice.

We've talked about this before, but there just isn't a heck of a lot out there for the 2.8L.
