Yea. Mind you, from those pics & other rollover wrecks I've seen here, I'm quite happy with the potential survival rate of the Blazer.

Of course, there is a difference between rolling over on a freeway than rolling off the road where there are trees, bushes etc. - That can give a different result.

But wow, walking away with a pain in the neck is damn OK!

wow talk about lucky, that is a severe acciden, I'm very surprised you got out and you are mosty OK, you are very lucky, I would seriously got see the doctor ASAP though make sure you don't have any major injury to your back or neck. looking at those pics i relized when you hit on the roof, I guess when you landed you were very lucky than the impact was mostly on the Passenger side, as by the look of it if you hit on the Driver's side I don't think you would be here talking to us.

Damn, Blazers really are safe trucks after all.

Ditto about the survival.
I hope you were joking about it being safe... that Blazer folded right up. He is very lucky to be alive. That roof failed miserably. As I mentioned before, I used to manage an impound yard and was a recovery specialist. I have seen many roll overs in my time. Usually foreign SUV's do this. We had a case where a Isuzu SUV driver was hit from behind while driving. The truck flipped over when it hit the curb. The woman driver was paralyzed from the neck down. They sued Isuzu, and the drunk driver that hit them. No amount of money can make up for that.
Be safe out there people.

Yeah I agree on all points above, Blazers are not the best in any crash situation.

Glad to see you're doing okay after that one; that was quite a hit. I can commiserate with you about not trusting people around you. I was involved in a rear-end collision over the summer and I still check my rear-view constantly when I'm stopping. Something about the feeling of not knowing what's coming up behind you and how fast it's going is eerie to me now. Once again, glad to hear you're alright and I hope everything works out with the insurance.

He's probably looking for an M1 Abrams tank after that flirt with the reaper!

welcome to texas. where being rear ended is a common occurance. Drivers here are not very aware of their surroundings. Several years ago i was taking a friend to the airport, and another driver (making a left turn) pulled into my lane and stopped. I had no choice but to hit her, T-boned her. Totaled the jeep I was driving at the time. 2 weeks later I was driving an explorer I borrowed from my parents, traffic was stopped ahead of me on the highway. Some retard (figuratively [hopefully]) come up behind me, and destroyed the back end of the explorer. I totaled 2 cars in two weeks, and neither one was my fault.

On another note, your lucky to be alive after that bad of a crash.

Holy... that's plain Wow! Blazers are not the ideal cars for barrel rolls

If that had on been me in the truck I can guarantee me head would have been smooshed. There's not much room in there after the roof was crushed. Being 6'5" I can't see myself making it out of that one alive. Hell, my head is kinda close to the roof as it is (grant it I do have a sunroof, which lowers the interior height)
MY head touches the roof when I sit up straight. o.o
