Replaced my side mirror at last.
Some of you may recall I had issues with my passenger door mirror. (or the driver side for you guys in the States!) About a year ago! LOL
Some idiots had pushed it forward & stripped the gear that folds the mirror in.
This is the auto retract mirror.
I tried to fix it but it's a sealed unit & the only way to strip it is to break the glass out.
Once the mirror is broken it destroys the heating pad behind. Then there are issues with getting thin glass cut to fit etc. etc. So I gave up after getting a couple of broken mirrors from the scrap & trying things. The project fell into the "Too Hard" basket. LOL
Anyway, I've eventually got a new (used) one & fitted it. Cost me 150 bucks & all is good.
I no longer need to continually use my scale ruler to reach across & push the mirror back into position. (It usually flops towards the door, not the other way).
