Talking Sharing my story bout my blazer problem

So bought my blazer bout 4 years ago with 120700 on it and drove it till bout 160xxx and did all the normal 150000 maintenance, then **** started to go haywire. Stared running bad getting 10ish mpg and misfiring. Had oil out tailpipe so figured fuel injectors. So took plenum off and seen fuel pressure regulator and injectors 3 and 5 where leaking. I then replaced the spider with the new MPFI injectors I got for 180 off of amazon (good deal eh). AND! Still ran like crap and idled rough but was slightly better (not as shaky). So I then figured the distributor gear was bad and pulled it, and discovered the gear was worn to the point of being sharpened. Changed that which sucked with the timing. Got it started and STILL ran like crap.

Hooked my scanner up and only code was p0140(o2 sensor) which came on and off for 2 years. So a buddy I work with said unplug it and see what happens. Unplugged it and guess what..... IT WORKED!! But everything I replaced was bad.

This blazer is running better than ever with the SES light on. Was going 54 mph on flat road and my mpgs was bouncing between 25 -28. But I do have a new everything besides the core of the car. I love this blazer and hope it gets me another 150000 miles.

I'm getting like 13, but mine is out of time so I am hoping to get 16 when it's fixed. 25-28 I wouldn't even be looking for a smaller car!

No hell no...averaging around 18. I was just saying I have never seen estimated MPG gauge bounce to numbers that high. Basically with all the new parts it running better than ever

Yeah, that seemed a little high to me, too. My wife's cobalt doesn't get much higher than that, around town. I get about 17-18, and get excited when I can hit 19!

So are you still getting the P0140 code?

I have never even hit 18 in mine, but I fixed my p1345 code yesterday. So hopefully I'll get around 16-17 now lol

Torque usually says I get 20-30 mpg cruising on the flat. It also says I get 2-5 mpg when accelerating, and up to 150 mpg while geared down going down steeper hills on the highway. My average is just over 13.
