I have to fold the mirrors in when I put my K5 in the garage, so today I back it out and I know the mirror has been "tinky sounding" But I push out the mirror and the mirror falls right into my hand. If my attention had been a second off it would have fallen and broke into a pieces. Wow

Good catch! I had mine fall off on the highway once. Luckily the wires for the power mirror motor kept it attached to the truck.
