Yes Les It allows you to control the purge and the vent on outputs under the L platform for my vehicle. It sometimes works for a short time on M platform but when requesting outputs it sometimes would say you imputed the wrong vehicle then it would say cant connect with on star that I don;t have any ways on my vehicle. But even though the platform letter isn't T for four wheel drive it works totally on platform L. I went through each one and found that one to operate for my vehicle is L Platform and it gives me control of 16 outputs and it also has a service Bay Test that turns on the vent valve so smoke cant escape and it turns on the purge valve and gives you a choice on the % it opens per minute and you can here it clicking quickly like what is it pulse width modulation any ways that's what I was asking about what % I should set it to so I can add a good amount of smoke to the system. So Les If it were you with your car would you set the purge to 10% 20% or what to smoke it only makes sense to control the purge the same way that its done by the OBD II and not on continues it may burn out the valve on continues.[/QUOTE]Yes Les the Service Bay test works awesome had it on for 5 minutes or so then shut off the smoker and closed the vent valve the smoke just rolled out it was great how well it held the smoke until I closed the vent then it came out as a big white cloud. The bay test is a success but still couldn't find that tiny leak had sight on the gas tank connections all three of them also all connections at the canister and canister itself followed the plastic line from the rear to the front and no leak there either at the connections to the purge and the plastic line that I could find with a Dewalt 18 volt adjustable spot light very bright and rechargeable for years I have a complete set of Dewalt tools and have a very strong opinion of them they work hard and last just as long. But the fact is still have small leak can't spot with the naked eye but maybe dye might help to find it other wise at a loss no code no MIL and no leak to be found.

Les help me out have done every thing possible to locate the leak bought some auto pro UV from the parts store can be mixed with the gas 4-5 gallons the oil trans fluid rear end oil transfer case oil but where do you put it to locate a small leak that you cant even find with clouds of smoke. It says to mix with 4-5 gallons of gas but think that's only to look for fuel leaks. If I put it in at the removed reed valve it will follow that line to the canister then drop into the charcole and that cant be good for finding evap leaks tell me is there a location to put the dye or must you put it in a number of locations to locate a very small leak.In the evap.I will except information on this matter from any moderator available to give a answer want to find this pin leak and seems large amount of smoke trapped in the evap doesn't show were it is so hopefully dye will.

OK Les Pretty sure power train is the same body control module controls 16 PID,s after all choices are made it also ask if you want to see Id info my vin comes up.There is a way to know for sure ad a vacuum gauge to my smoker and smoke it then stop watch the leak yo see how long it takes that's if the dye in the smoke fails like the smoke did.

You know Les You Just Had to put that little bit of doubt in my head and that's all it took.Since reading the post from Captain about Body control module and what they can do and the parts of my Tech II that don't work correctly like the stand alone letter should be T and my vehicle should be listed in the menu and its not I have been getting a fair amount of PID info from LT DTY Truck including the bay test that works for the purge and seal or each valve separately like when I smoked it with the dye I left the purge closed and off and closed the vent so the smoke would fill the evap as it did quite well I might add. but that's not my blazer and so I called them on it because like I said when you purchase with Paypal your purchase is protected and they did have a mix up at first my tech II went to someone else and they sent me another one but for all I know they could have sent me one set up for the original person it might have been for but ultimately the tool should be operating on stand alone letter T and there should be a listing for my vehicle it falls into the category of all gm,s 96-2013.We will see what they offer because these tools are programmable they have the 32 meg memory card and the programmable part the Tech II VCI MODULE but those modules are interchangeable.

Default Final post on the Tech 2

It works fine enough for me I called gm where they sell parts for the tech 2 and got lucky enough to talk to a tech.He said that I have current software and he told me that Blazer isn't listed its self to go through set up LT DUTY Trk,Incomplete then to Body then the stand alone letter T for the 4x4 then enter S/T Classic that should be the s10 Blazer from there the next menu is 1 body control module 2 Heating and air conditioning 3-----But it seems to be controlling
more body control modules but still not the day runners and the headlights but it does turn on the park lights dome light door lock unlock horn security doors ajar and still more so for now I am going to stay with this tool after all with the help of the new Kustome Smoker for $150.00 that will use parts store dye and give give you a better chance at locating a very small leak.Oh I did mention that it now works on the stand alone letter T and it gives you some choices for the transfer case 4 low 4 high 2 high but as you had said no scanner including this one has bilateral control in the transfer case and it don't do any functions as you thought it wont even turn off and on the 4 low 4 high and the 2 high but if it did then it would be moving the gears in the transfer and it don't it even mentions locking the axle as you mentioned but no control from the tool. You know that smoker from Kustome Smoker is really something I think it actually out smokes the $2000.00 dollar ones at a much cheaper price. But one thing is for sure if you have a very small leak that you just cant find dye in the baby oil works every time.

Sorry Les I just get excited with every new thing learned about this tool It does have a section on blazer you just go through menu normally up to LT DTY,TRKS enter and another menu pops up and the correct choice for the Blazer is S/T Classic then BCM and believe me there is a world more on the outputs it did the headlights still not sure why during day light it wouldn't but at night it did one thing I noticed was the light sensor said dark instead of light but there was so much more and its in stand alone T it controlled all dash lights low gas oil so on it even switched each light on the sifter from park lighted down to 3 lite and back there is more like its supposed to be.It will take time to learn all its functions before being comfortable enough to flash a module or program but for now those things are off limits. An as usual it went into the transfer case but wouldn't control anything.

One thing Les I don't fully understand is why have control of all these things through the tool when the switch works just as well is it so if there is a break in the wiring or a faulty switch you can command it on and trace the wire back to conclude if the problem is a bad switch then you can replace it.Oh yea again the head lights or day runners didn't command but I did notice the ambien sensor was under day light and same as yesterday didn't work until the ambient sensor was in night mode but looks a if you can move it from daytime to nighttime so you can control the lights and day runners that are only the high beam on during the day when they won't hurt oncoming drivers eyes. But have to say with all the new control the tool is becoming one of my best investments.Oh by the way I went ahead and bought the memory saver so this IM,s ordeal never happens again its a Shumaker 7amp 7 Hour rechargeable in car while driving or on 110 AC at home either way never have to worry when disconnecting the battery again. It plugs into the data link connector to save all OBDII data when removing the battery such as I have to do again to replace the one of two clips that hold the battery box to the front sheet metal I am sure one would have been fine but I like to put things back to the way they were before I worked on them.

Ok Les last post for sure I am sure your getting tired of all the tech two can do so I will let you know the last of what I found out it work,s to turn on any light in the dash It does control the day runners and head lights its real neat you can change what is illuminated on the sifter park reverse neural 1st 2nd 3rd with out changing gear.It can turn on the AC pump and you can see real time readings but can't turn it on in car or HTR rear window deicer nice to see if AC is in need of R232 think it is now because the pressure reading would be low when engaged.
Well the tool is great now that have a good understanding of it. But still have flashing and programming a module. Not ready for that yet from what I understand you only get one shot at it if you mess up its ruined.Oh and last of all need a 2008 or newer to hook up to my Daughter has a 2012 Toyota don't know if even have a connector but if I do will see whats available from it.
