RE: Trailer wiring
I'll run 12 guage on it, then, just to be on the safe side...
I'm running 10 guage for the power wire, lol.

RE: Trailer wiring
On my 97 blazer 4x4 this is what I see.
LT GRN
BRN THESE ARE LIKE 16 GA
WHT
BLU BLUE is like 14 or 12GA
RED RED is like 12 or 10 GA
That is all the wires need for a trailer brake & 7 prong plug. The 7 allows for a 12V Charging wire, I can't remember what the other one is.
My Blazer has a tow package, the wire loom has a GM parts # on it.

RE: Trailer wiring
the two you did not list are for 12v charging and reverse lights.... true, for most campers, you only need the 5 you listed... the other two are for more luxurious trailers..

RE: Trailer wiring
Thanks, The reverse light. In 30+ years of pulling trailers I have never hooked up reverse lights on a trailer. My F250 4x4 is wired with the 12V charge wire so I use 6 of the 7 on it. But it's main job is to pull our 32' travel trailer.
