I seafoam'd.. painted the frame and shackles with bedliner.. sanded down the rear window trim.. removed my spare tire cover with the intent to relocate my spare tire to the roof or off altogether only to find that it has some sort of locking lug on it that I don't have a key to. Any advice?

Some of the local tire shops around here have a kit of locking lug keys because so many customers lose their key before they get work done. Maybe the same in your neck of the woods?

Maybe I'm confused. Is it just a cover over the lug nut or the actual locking lug nut. Mine had a over over the lug nut and I just stuck me key in and it came off.

Have been getting increasingly concerned about the amount of play in my viscous cooling fan coupling. Was having visions of the fan coming off & punching throught the raidator if I left it much longer, it was certainly rattling badly so i don't think it was long for this world. Managed to find a decent secondhand unit at a junkyard for £5 so I changed it out today. Several years ago I bought a proper kit for removing viscous couplings so i used it today - I would recommend these tools to anyone, they make removing the 36mm coupling nut VERY easy without risking damage to anything. The whole job took about 20 minutes from start to finish, Haynes manual says to remove the fan shroud but I got away with leaving it in place & holding the top hose & throttle/cruise cables out of the way while I lifted the unit out. it's a bit of a squeeze but it can be done. Runs great now without the worrying sounding rattle!

Nah, it's an actual locking lug nut. It looks like a mickey mouse head almost.
