Started with a new fuel filter on my 98. Then I decided to do my oil change about 300 miles to the good. Put chrome screw covers on the license plate screws, that alone made a big differance to me.Auto zone my favorite store has lucas oil 5+ and filter for just 19.99 I could'nt believe it!feul filter was just 10.99 not a bab price either. And thats what I did today blazer buddys.

bad battery the other day, charged it for a couple of hours, charged all it was going to, checked it today with the load tester, shows about 13 volts until you hit the load switch, drops to 7 volts then slowly gains to about 8.2 volts, battery was 6 years old but its wierd how it all of a sudden died, wasnt turning over slow or anything, ran fine one day, the next just solenoid clicking from under the hood, dead in the driveway, at least it died at home. still had the battery from the parts blazer, this battery had sat in the '94 chassis for over 2 years, was dead when i pulled it out last year and checked it. charged it and put it in my shed. its actually about 6 months older than the one that just died from the '97. when i put it in to try it out, it turned kind of slow but started, after running awhile it seems to have normal cranking speed. think i will get a new one before winter hits just to be on the safe side, after all, this is the wife's ride, its one thing for your own truck to leave you stuck at work or the store somewhere, its another for the wife to be broke down and need help. was checking battery prices and was surprized how much they are now, looks like $80 is the lowest locally. the one that sat for so long that im using now came from tsc, dont know who made it, the dead one was a diehard. i also recharged the a/c, need to find where its leaking off at, it bleeds off the charge after about 6 months, and even when it is fully charged you can never get it too cold in the vehicle, my truck on the other hand could keep milk from spoiling on a 100 degree day, and its 4 years older than the blazer. still has the original factory charge (and its a old R12 system at that!), never been touched.

Installed a drop in spectre air filter. I have noticed it made the exhaust a bit louder and deeper which is cool. It seems to help throttle response a little bit too. I haven't had time to see if it'll increase my mpg, but i'll be checking my next fill up.

I am right in the middle of moving from Nova Scotia to Alberta. with all my tools on a truck on its way already Im stuck in a flea trap hotel waiting to follow in a week. I put a white guage overlay on a couple of weeks ago and pushed the needles back in a little to far so they were draging instead of smooth. In the parking lot of the hotel I tore the dash apart with a cheap 7mm socket driver and reset the needles. much better.

Where abouts in Alberta are you moving? If you don't mind me asking!
