what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
ugh. i hate my internet. i had a long post typed out and of course i hit post and it disconnects me from the internet!!!! ugh!!!!!
well anyways. today i got my headers. painted them with VHT ceramic coating for headers. i still need to cure them but i can do this once they are on the truck which will be tomorrow.
and tomorrow i am still questioning whether or not i should put my new intake mani and carb on, or just run with the stock mani and my newly rebuilt carb. in order for me to put the new intake on i have to drain the engine of coolant, get new gaskets, and i would have to clean out the entire inside. but it would look sweet as hell and i could cure the headers and the intake mani at the same time.... hmmmmm. ill see what happens i guess.

stripped the black spray paint off the rims. Back to shiney aluminum now. Sucky part is it stripped the clearcoat off the aluminum. Lets see how long they stay pretty.
Friend has some nice rims off a trans am for 100 bucks. I just dont have a extra 100 bucks

why would you take the spray off? i would have just gotten new wheels rather than do that.
either way so far this morning i put the headers on. the passenger side was easy. the driver side was the bitch. i had to figure out how to take the oil dipstick out and it was really in there. but i got it. scratched the hell out of the ceramic coating but i got it.

^ those damn o rings don't like to come out. i've had to pull dipsticks outta a few vehicles over the years.
Got my blazer back from the exhaust shop...no more rattle from the cat, and a nice little flowmaster tone

Got a lead on a $25 power window tailgate from an '87 K5 that's dented a bit & has some surface rust, but all the innards are there! I might take a spin to pick it up this weekend. That would give me two complete rust free power tailgates and a complete manual tailgate (what's on the truck) to choose from for my K5 and at under $250 combined. Just too good to pass this stuff up.
well on my 97 blazer ls 2dr, i took all my emblems off and touched up some little things, smoked out my taillights and thats all for today, ive had it for about a week and so far shes pretty sweer
