oh i know what you were saying... i was just saying these trucks are like packman and money is like his little yellow dots

as for me, today I got my new sway bar ends, bushings, and front control arm bumpers!
Tomorrow is game day, so they got here right in time.

I got my new tooth (drove my blazer to the dentist so this counts) today. A little later than expected (June '09) but now I am ready to chew through a brick! to i am whole again!

I also found out 2 dudes i used to hang out with in the B's got smoked in Iraq last night. the third cat made it out one arm lighter than he started the patrol with.

Pretty s****y day all in all.

spent 2hrs taking tire splash guard on front left to find out vac line going into fender is pretty much impossible. and gm why did the bracket for the abs module just fall off in the fender when i unbolted the module to move it. biggest PIA i've ever had to do on this vehicle. got bracket back on and yes this was worse then changing both sets of oil coolers lines (you get faster after you've done it 3 times)

fixed the ones on my '92, 5 times.

i was to cheap to drop the coin to replace them, instead i fixed them, each time ('til the last time, when i finally fixed the main issue). mind you, if i had of just put my engine brace in (my main issue) and replaced the torn engine mount, i wouldn't have kept crushing the damn lines.

you know you should never ask that question!

today i went to replace this;

with this today;

because of this .

it's just the floor that has no heat. actually, it doesn't seem to change between any settings, sending a 65/35 split between the defrost & vents, even though i can hear it changing in the dash.

but it didn't fix it, damn! now i've gotta hunt for the issue.

but thanks to Luis, i @ least have a spare enviro control (very hard to find up here for some reason).

noticed a funny thing while i was changing it (besides the obvious *F & *C numbers).

mine;

the one i got from Luis;

interesting................

another interesting thing, this is post "triple nickel" for this thread (that's #555, in case you didn't know).

hahahahaha! i was gonna change the face plate on them (just to keep the *C on mine), but thought, "awww, who cares!". besides, since it didn't solve the issue, i put the original one back in (was smart enough to "check it" before i closed it all back up).

Yea, sorry we don't double everything to make it seem like more lol. Just kidding, I guess its just what people grow up with. I have friends who use MPH and Fahrenheit, whereas I have to have a tach or Temp gauge in front of me to convert lol.

Today i got some stuff done.

BF isn't letting load pics right now so you'll have to wait.
got my door off, neew door prepped and mounted. new door had glass and electric motor. nothing else...

spent the majority of my day stripping my old door of EVRYTHING and moving it to the new door. LESSON LEARNED: while $70 is a good price for a door random parts and a tow hitch reciever, i would have happily paid $150 for a blue door with everything on it to skip that part....

i pulled my skid plate and found that i have developed a pretty nasty oil leak. But the good news is it's only the 2 hot oil in lines and the 2 cool oil out lines leaking, so at least it's not a total disaster yet....

I replaced the sway bar (stablizer bar) frame mount bushings and both ends (links).

i am not too proud to announce that after knocking my door project out of the park, and powering through my sway bar job, i was stopped dead in my tracks by the front bump stops (jounce bumpers/ lower control arm bumper) they thrawted my every attempt at dislodging the old husks (i even hit them from random angles with a sledge).

Once i got on the fail boat, there was a quick lay over in "failed attempt at shackles" (thanks frozen d side shackle-to-frame bushing) and with out access to a torch it was game over at that point.

So I tossed my front splash guards on, and ran out of time before i could get the rears on. So now i look like a total tool with only 2 guard in the front...

Made it no where near my TB or EGR. i really under estimated the door job. Last thing the door needs is some trim adhesive so i can stick the rocker trim strip on and i am brand new (minus what the wife did the the d side rear door) again.

oh, i put 6 OZ of Lucas fuel treatment in her, and made the single most important repair i have ever made to this vehicle. I installed a new (shiney!) inspection plate so my flex plate can have the privacy it has long deserved, but never recieved.
