It's possible that the ears bent while trying to remove the old ones with that nylon crap holding them in there - even red hot it still takes quite a bit of force to break them free, & sometimes they bend ... throws the whole thing out of whack. Usually you know right away because you won't be able to get those clips to seat properly on the inside. If it didn't vibrate before the U-joints, it's either that or some of the little rollers got damaged upon installation.

If it always vibrated then it's possible someone either tried to weld it, or hit something & bent it. Doesn't take much to shake your dash right out of the truck - that thing whips around pretty fast.

we did indeed have some seating and clip issues. but all is in there now.

I am wondering this..

I snapped off one of the zerk fittings on a u joint, its the center u joint,so i cant grease it. Sure it had a bit in the joint from factory, but im wondering if its because i didnt pack it with grease its causing a vibration.

Got tires put on my rims but.... They put 35x12.5 tires on them. That ain't gunna fit...

And they can't get any STTs in 33x12.5 so they ordered some Hankook Dynapro MTs.

Might try other places for the STTs cause I'm not a big fan of the Hankooks looks.
