Fixed the back up lights and installed 2 platinum burner 2.5" flood lights on the back bumper for extra light when in the woods. I have 2 new mirrors, new brake pedal, coolant cap, complete brakes/rotors front and back, Curt safari rack w/extension, and 2 outer tie rods heading my way right now......and it begins...lol

Got the '96 running again, ended up with a engine from a '96 S10 truck, it had 220,000 miles on it. Seems to run ok though, even with all used ignition parts. Put a new oil pump in it, new pan gasket, and new front and rear crankshaft seals. New remote oil filter lines and a new radiator also.

Found my a/c leak!

Then after charging it found the high side fitting leaking. Recovered it-changed the fitting out-1lb-12oz of 134a later and working a/c!

Went hiking today. Got a little dirt on the tires but sadly no mud...

I scored a good used a/c condenser on Craigslist for $30 today. I bought it from an ASE-certified Master Tech who bought a wrecked '96 Blazer for parts and then sold off all the parts he didn't use. He's still got some brake rotors and an old, leaky set of oil lines.

Got my DR44G alt from fedex and got it installed today. Its so nice not dropping to 9-10 volts at a stop light. Now I just need to find an amp meter and check out those readings.

Took the siliconed, metal roofing screws out of both mirrors and cleaned up for the new set coming tomorrow. Sprayed the front bumper and all the front chrome black with rustoleum bed coating. I like the look.

It's the newer version of the ad244. A lot of people prefer the ad244 cause its easier to rebuild and upgrade but if it does ill just replace it. It's a direct bolt in just like the ad and requires about a 1" longer belt. It took about 15 min to install and with the few minutes I ran it I already see a huge improvement.
