Today I decided to open the filler cap on my transfercase to see how much fluid was in it... Well it wasn't empty that's for sure...

That's all Transmission fluid that came out of the filler cap of my transfercase. I believe its the tcase input shaft seal that's letting the fluid in, I have to replace that and the vacuum switch, 4x4 actuator and the vacuum lines. And I just spent $150 on a starter last week... Looks like its going to be another long week.

Don't feel too bad. I did that job on my 1998 Jimmy. Many of us have done the exact same job. Just remind yourself that you're keeping an American classic on the road.

I put the new condenser in my '98 Jimmy. The loss of vacuum on the a/c system has slowed so I've eliminated at least one leak. Once I get all of them I can charge it with some refrigerant.

Serviced my trans, dropped pan replaced filter and new fluids, pulled rear diff cover off and put some fresh oil in there. Decided to take it off road to make sure everything is working fine, ran fine but ended having to call the local PD because of what I thought was a possible dead body in a car but found out after 10 police cars and 2 rescue units showed up that the dude was extremely drunk and ended up getting a DUI lol

Greetings All
I visited this forum many times in the past as I liked to do most of the easy to medium repairs on my 96 Blazer. I'm sad to say my Red Road buddy is retiring after 231,800 miles on it. What a joy to own this truck. So what do I do...I bought a used 2002 Blazer with 78,000 on it, in very good shape...I have a emergency brake issue, probably a busted cable. I hope i get as much satifaction from the 02 as from the 96.
Take care
