flame shot out of lower left side of engine when blazer was started. wondering what the he$$ it could be.

what vehicle, what engine, carb or fi, any ehaust leaks, does it run (if so does it missfire)
need more info, ( crystal ball out for repairs)

1999 chevy blazer, 4.3 v-6, fi,no exhaust leaks that i know of i will check today. it doesn't misfire at all.
