If you have a basic understanding, then you should know the difference between a vacuum storage tank and a vacuum diaphram right?
Thanks for the sarcasm bud. But no, as I said, Ive never seen such a system on a vehicle. I didnt get any formal education on auto repair, but I think I do just fine considering.

4WD And YES TIRES CAN DEFINITELY CAUSE THIS NOT TO WORK!
Tires are fine as I already stated.

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic...sorry if it sounded that way. I just think that a "basic understanding" means that you can at least identify (if not explain operation) of basic components like a vacuum tank.

I know you stated this, but you asked if they could cause the 4x4 not to work in the same post.
The tires are fine... I dont think its that problem, tires wouldnt cause the 4 wheel drive not to function would it?
Was trying to clear that up......good luck with it.

Oh Im just PMSing,, (lol, Im a dude btw)... Sorry if I got defensive...

I had the car inspected,, the Half-shafts need replaced, as well as some other steering/suspension/drivetrain related components. That might explain the clicking?

Pitman Arm
Idler Arm
Front Wheel bearings
Control Arm is rusted through on driver's side

and needs an alignment... rear brake shoes, fuel lines

Oh the fun we are going to have this weekend
