Well im sitting at work and I figured I would give some input on my new transmission. All I have to say is wow what a major differance. I am almost positive that the original tranny never even used 1st gear, it would just start off from second while in drive unless i put it down in first. It just wasn't somthing i noticed at the time of purchase which sucks but oh well. For me the tranny removal and installation was a major pain. I had never done a tranny before but im always looking to learn. I had my sted dad there and his buddy giving hands so I would have been lost without them. Between the two of them they have probably swapped 10 or so trannys so it definatly helped out. The new transmission from MonsterTrans is freakin awsome, its all grab and damn it shifts hard. LOL this damn thing chirps the tires into second pretty easly I couldn't even beilive it. I still have to get a part of my exhaust welded back on but other than that its totaly done and working great (Knock on Wood). Oh ya I broke that damn Park/Neutral Safty switch trying to get the connectors out lol, thought i was gonna be out like 200 bucks but it was only 30 bucks brand new at advance auto so its all good. On the first start we couldn't get the button on the shift lever to press in, because of the conecters not beeing tight enough into the Park/Neutral Safty switch. I wasn't sure about the tranny shifting so hard but monstertrans tech asured me that it is perfectly normal for that tranny with its components. He said it will shift a bit easier after 1000 or so miles, the clutch packs have to break in a bit. But I get a kick out of it when it shifts its awsome. Hopefully this one outlasts the truck. I still want to install a transmission cooler though and soon so after that it should be all good. Anyone in need of a tranny Monster Trans would have my vote great people to deal with, extremaly fast shipping that was free and absolutly no core charge.

Where did you get your tranny from? I mean where is monstertranny located? And how much was it? I am looking at getting a 97Blazer and the tranny doesn't have reverse anymore. What was wrong with yours and what made you decide to go with monstertranny? I have never heard of them. any info would be greatly appriciated
