Well, it was $25.00 to the guy at the garage or buy the torch set up that he had and an impact gun and compressor with hoses etc, etc.
I think I did it the most cost effective way... L O L

Alright, you piqued my interest now. I worked in a tire/service center for over 3 years and I never, repeat never used a torch to remove lug studs.
$25 is aoubt right for 15 minutes of work. Although I could have had it done in my garage before you even got to the shop.
Even with a factory jack, factory lug wrench, and a hammer.

I did the same in the late 70's as a teenager and I had to fix my own mistakes. I basically had a 2-3lb ball peen hammer which worked every time so I am at a loss as to what the trouble was here. And it would only take about 4-5 hard hits with the hammer and the stud was out. Some times had to use a drift punch but most times could just get a couple of threads on with an old lug nut and whacked away and it was out...
