Would the K&N FIPK be a good investment or no? just wondering bc i see a lot of people on here saying not to get K&N because of the oil and such getting on sensors. Also, on the site it doesnt show a box for the filter.

I have an FIPK. It's OK. IMHO you'll have to drive many miles to break even to in purchasing one. (Cost of the FIPK to actually start saving $ on fuel economy. Especially the recent gas hike$.)
If I over oil the filter it'll dirty up the MAF sensor. I have to spray electrical parts cleaner on the MAF a few times until the filter is no longer oily. Try a True Flow air filter, (clicky) My neighbor has one on his Silverado. It works good so far. Dunno about any mileage gains. It's a 5.3 litre Silvy. I was going to purchase one but I think I tossed the factory air box and "accordian" intake tube.
