Open headers will net you the most performance as far as I can tell, but that's illegal for street use and really annoying at highway speed with a 3.73:1 gear...LOL Anyway, I love the SOUND of flowmaster, I could care less about how much power it adds to my race car .......I mean daily driver 4x4 suv.....
I think you answered your question right there. I know its just a DD SUV but when Im off road I like to have that extra power thats why I asked.
You could always get a manifold dump installed, that way you can have open headers at the flip of a switch

Not really. You can get a nice Electric Cutout for $150 or so. If thats what hes talking about.

What are you talking about electric cut out? Are you talking about some kind of thing you push and it pushes all the exaust that comes off the headers out an open hole and bypasses all the exaust. I was thinking about buying that, but people told me it wasnt worth it.

Thats exactly what Im talking about. Here is a link to the QTP Electric cutout. They are worth it on a stock exhaust but if you have a high flowing exhaust (Headers, no cats, aftermarket muffler) you would see miniamal gains with it open compared to closed.
