I'm going to remove the cat in my blazer shortly and change out the factory muffler to a high flow unit. Only prob is the $300 to reprogramme the computer so it doesn't use too much more gas. No emission testing here in NZ and loud exhaust is not too much of a problem. As for making it sound like an eight it can be done my V6 commodore (3.8 Buick) had a real nice rumble for a baby motor and was frequently mistaken for a V8

Your not going to make a V6 sound like something its not in which thats a V8. You can get a nice deep loud rumble out of a V6 when done right thats it.

a v6 will never sound like a v8 be cause of the way the crankshaft is built. no muffler can change that fact. as for the cat its illegal in every state in the u.s. to tamper with one. ( but mine runs alot better without it)
