how it sounds from inside?
hey guys my cat back on my 95 blazer is rusting pretty good so its time to get a new one so i was thinking of getting something like a 40 series on it to get a nice rumble plus better gas and probably hollowing out the cat. my question isnt what sounds good but instead how these modifications sound from inside while driving. i do have plenty of experience with removing cats, putting glasspacks on so on and so on, so i do understand the car is louder but my experience with this subject does not lay with any blazers so i was hoping for some responses from experience how something like this sounds from inside because im not interested in getting a bunch of headaches while driving. by the way i will have the tip coming out past the back

An FM40 with no cat will be really loud and raspy on a V6. If you don't want it too loud but have enough sound to know it isn't stock, i'd say put a pipe in place of the cat, hollowing it out doesn't help flow since it makes an empty chamber for the air to swirl around in, plus you can scrap the cat for a lot of cash if you keep it intact. Then run a turbo muffler, the setup will have a good sound if you run 2.5" single pipe from the y-pipe all the way to a 2.5" in/out turbo muffler then a 2.5" tailpipe out the back. That won't be loud in the cab but you'll have a mean sound when it gets past 3000rpm.
